From Series: "A Necessary Death"

At first glance, we might think that the theme refers to the death of Jesus on the cross, which was necessary to bring life and salvation to all. That is most certainly true. Upon deeper reflection, we recognize that each of us must experience A Necessary Death within ourselves so that we can be raised fully as children of God and followers of Christ. Our necessary death may involve our ego or pride, resentments or grudges that we carry, greed, a need to be in control, whatever it is that keeps us trapped within our very small self-focused universe. These things must die if we are to be raised fully as the children of God we are created to be living in oneness with God, humanity, and creation.
