Pastoral Intern Lindsay Bates - August 7, 2022

On The Way 9

In her last sermon at Abiding Hope, Pastoral intern Lindsay challenges to think about how we pray with our bodies and our thoughts.

Scripture References: Luke 12:32-40

From Series: "On The Way"

Our upcoming series is entitled “On The Way,” which will usher us through the summer. We will be looking at the ministry of Jesus and the opposition he faced in the world to remind us what it looks like to truly embrace our individual and collective identities as children of God even when we stare down the hard things of life. Hope and love are not destinations, but ways of living in the world and bringing forth God’s vision of oneness for humanity. We make countless decisions every day that matter, that ripple, and that impact change. When we infuse those decisions with an intention of hope and love, we are on the way to a better world. We’re already on the way! Every interaction is an opportunity. Every person we encounter gives us a chance to see God mirrored back to us. Every step we take has never been taken before.
